The original venue for the Superbowl in southern Ocean County since 1983, the Lighthouse continues to be the best football party Tavern. Come out one-hour before the game and enjoy free wings and dogs during the Lighthouse tailgate party. Then watch all the big game action along with great drink specials, super prize giveaways and a free hot and cold halftime buffet!

Our biggest event of the year is more than a one day celebration. The Wearn’ of the Green festivities begins with Finnegan’s Wake a day or so before Paddy’s Day. Participate in the funeral ceremony with Tim’s family to give him a proper send-off…mind your hands with the Widow! The Pipes and Drums will lead the procession.

On St. Patrick’s Day enjoy authentic Irish fare as well as Corned Beef and Cabbage. Sing along to your favorite tunes with John and Gerry of the duo “TARA”…the perennial favorite of the Lighthouse crowd from County Cavan, Ireland. They’ve returned every year to entertain since 1991. Also enjoy special appearances by the Ocean County Emerald Society Pipes and Drums.

Every New Years Eve the Lighthouse rolls the clocks ahead five hours to “Ireland” time so you can celebrate the New Year at 7pm…the same time it’s being celebrated with our Irish friends. There’s free hats and noisemakers, live entertainment and a complimentary Champaign toast at “midnight”. There is even a “dropping ball” that rivals Times Square! A unique way to enjoy all the excitement of a New Year’s celebration without staying up late!

New Years Eve dinner specials are served from 3pm through 9pm.

The Lighthouse hosted the first Halloween party in the area in 1982. It has since become one of the biggest events of the year. There are copycats, but, we are the real thing. There are three tiers of prizes as well as the most coveted trophy for “Worst Costume.” The party is hosted by live entertainment and a complimentary buffet is served.

Despite its popularity, we have eliminated the sand on the floor as it makes a terrible mess to clean up the next day!
